Elizabeth MacLennan, born 1850, in Inverness.
For the 1881 census Elizabeth was living at 12 St James Street, Govan, Glasgow, working as a housekeeper for her brother John. (See John MacLennan).
It is believed that Eliza married Charles Stone between 1881 and 1896 but as of yet no record of the marriage has been found.
For the census of 1901 Elizabeth was possibly working at 12 Onslow Square, Kensington, London, as a Housemaid in the household of John George Moore, a retired H.M. Indian Civil Servant. Elizabeth was identified as married although no husband is present.

Elizabeth appears in Glasgow in the 1911 census as a visitor in the household of her younger sister Margaret, but no record of her demise has yet been unearthed.A son MacLennan, born in Inverness.
Died in infancy
Robert MacLennan, born 1852, in Inverness.
Robert married Mary Ann MacLean daughter of Charles MacLean, an asylum worker, and Betsy McMillan on 27 Dec 1878 in 60 Upper Kessock Street, Inverness. Mary was born about 1857 in Inverness.
Robert and Mary had the following known seven children:
For the census of 1881 Robert and Mary were living in Inverness with their infant daughter Elizabeth.

Sometime around 1883 Robert moved south to Aintree, in Lancashire close to Liverpool. Presumably the move was prompted by the availability of work. It is in Walton on the Hill that we find Robert his now somewhat larger family, for the cesus of 1891. Also in the household is Robert's mother Georgina, presumably helping to look after the children.

I believe that Robert died Oct-Dec 1908 as there is a death of a Robert MacLennan aged 56 registered in Birkenhead (8a 343), during that quarter. Certainly for the census of 1911 Mary is recorded as a widow, living at 31 Rivington Road, Seacombe, Cheshire. No doubt the inclusion of a couple of boarders help to boost the family's income.

Margaret Georgina MacLennan, born on 12 November 1857, Edward Court Inverness
Margaret married William MacLeod, the son of William MacLeod and Isabella MacKenzie, on 29 August 1878 in Inglefield St Glasgow. William was born in 1857 in Elgin, Moray.
Margaret and William had the following known two children:

William MacLeod died on 10 April 1899 in 76 John Knox Street, Glasgow.
For the census of 1901 the widowed Margaret was recorded living with her son William at 100 Banack Street, Glasgow. It would seem likely that the Mary MacKinnon listed in the household as a visitor was in fact Margaret's second cousin, born in about 1877 in Dingwall, Rossshire, the daughter of Donald McKinnon and Christina McLean.
