Details of Malletsheugh farm

The Malletsheugh farm still stands to-day, approximately 2 miles south-west of the modern Mearns cross, and on the right of the modern A77 heading towards Kilmarnock. During the 19th century not only was there "the Malletsheugh farm", but a number of other dwellings encompassed in the name Malletsheugh.
