Thomas Stewart - baptised 19 March 1835 in Ayr, died in 1905

Thomas married Mary Ann Donald on 19 Nov 1863 in Tradeston, Glasgow They had the following known children:

Mary Donald was born on 5 Mar 1839 Hutchisontown, Gorbals, Lanark, Scotland, the daughter of Andrew Donald and Isabella Allison who were married on 29 September 1826

I don't know where Thomas is for the 1891 census although he should be possible to track down. His address is listed as 23 Carlton Place but in residence there at the time of the census are three of his sons, and his sister in law (their Aunt) Janet Jamieson nee Donald born 1834. (A cursory check of the IGI shows a Janet Donald married an Allan Jamieson on 17th July 1857 in Tradeston, Lanark- seems about right!!)

William Burns Stewart - baptised 25 November 1849 in Largs

This is the person that wrote the biography of his father, John Stewart.

For the 1881 census William was living in Govan with his wife, Katherine Miller, and her two sisters - one unmarried - Mary Miller, and one widowed - Margaret Stewart. The head of the house is Margaret Stewart, William's step-mother and also in the house is William's little sister Mary Ann Burns Stewart.
